Chapperstee Mosaics Chapperstee Mosaics: Public Mosaics

Welcome!

This is a new blog of mine about mosaics. I have always loved mosaics and I have experimented with making some of my own. See My Mosaics. I am also enjoy visiting historical sites most of these are from Roman times or just after. There are also a lot of Public Mosiacs that people often walk past without noticing. These can all be seen on the page links above.

Public Mosaics

There are many examples of Mosaics that people walk by every day and don't really notice. These are a few examples.

Canary Wharf - Jubilee Place

Mosaics on the floor of Jubilee place based on what goods used to come through the docks that were previously on this site.

Textiles

Fish at Billingsgate Market

Sea Shells

Brick Lane - Shoreditch Mosaics.

These are in the northern part of Brick Lane near the Railway Bridge and the Overground that now links East London with South London. There are six panels on each side in a semi circle. They were produced by the children of
St Anne's and Thomas Buxton Primary Schools.
